Solution/Ammonolysis Syntheses of Unsupported and Silica-Supported Copper(I) Nitride Nanostructures from Oxidic Precursors

چکیده

Herein we describe an alternative strategy to achieve the preparation of nanoscale Cu3N. Copper(II) oxide/hydroxide nanopowder precursors were successfully fabricated by solution methods. Ammonolysis oxidic can be achieved essentially pseudomorphically produce either unsupported or supported nanoparticles nitride. Hence, Cu3N particles with diverse morphologies synthesized from oxygen-containing in two-step processes combining solvothermal and solid?gas ammonolysis stages. The single-phase hydroxochloride precursor, Cu2(OH)3Cl was prepared solution-state synthesis CuCl2·2H2O urea, crystallising atacamite structure. Alternative precursors, CuO Cu(OH)2, obtained after subsequent treatment NaOH solution. Cu3N, form micro- nanorods, sole product formed using Cu(OH)2. Conversely, dicopper trihydroxide chloride resulted two-phase mixtures monoamine, Cu(NH3)Cl under similar experimental conditions. Importantly, this pathway is applicable afford composite materials incorporating substrates matrices that are resistant ammoniation at relatively low temperatures (ca. 300 °C). We present preliminary evidence Cu3N/SiO2 nanocomposites (up ca. 5 wt.% on SiO2) could urea starting following reaction steps. Evidence suggests case confined within porous SiO2 matrix.

Activation of dihydrogen on supported and unsupported silver catalysts

The activation of dihydrogen on silica, silver, and silica-supported silver (9 wt% Ag) was investigated. Both, silica and silver are individually able to dissociate dihydrogen. Silanol groups on silica undergo H→D exchange at 393 K in D2 as detected by IR spectroscopy. HD is observed in temporal analysis of products (TAP) experiments when H2 and D2 are sequentially pulsed on silver at 673 K; ev...

Discriminating supported and unsupported relationships in supertrees using triplets.

A supertree is a phylogeny formed by combining information from disparate phylogenetic trees. Supertree methods have been particularly used for constructing large phylogenies from previously published trees and there is a growing literature using supertree methods for phylogenetic inference in macroevolutionary studies (e.g., Davies et al., 2004; Grotkopp et al, 2004; Salamin and Davies, 2004)....

Ethylene combustion on unsupported and supported Pd: a comparative study

Ethylene combustion is studied at elevated pressures on Pd(100) and compared with supported Pd catalysts. Specific rates of CO2 formation were determined on Pd(100), 1 wt% (dPd = 2.5 nm) and 5 wt% (dPd = 4.2 nm) Pd/SiO2 catalysts as a function of the O2/C2H4 ratio over the temperature range 428–473 K. Reaction rates and apparent activation energies on these catalysts are particle size and react...
